Winter at Falmer Court

Winter at Falmer Court

Winters at Falmer court are magical. The views across the rolling hills of the South downs national park and the snow settling on the roof of the Great thatch barn are true winter landscapes which the family all enjoyed. Inside, we were warmed by open hearth fires and wood burners.
Our first Christmas spent in the main house was in 2016, when Falmer Court was still a building site. In 2017 Falmer Court was more like home and in 2018, we celebrated a real family Christmas. With the main house complete and restored back to it Georgian country splendour and fires burning in the newly completed banqueting hall / dining room throughout the winter season.

The local wildlife has stunned us this season. From robins singing throughout the evening to the geese which roam next to Falmer Lake. Rabbits are also common at Falmer Court, and we enjoy watching them play.

We look forward to spending many more Winter seasons at Falmer Court, and wish you all a warm and healthy Autumn.
